To create, gather and disseminate knowledge on Danube navigation is one of via donau’s central concerns. For this reason, the last few years have witnessed the creation of an internationally acknowledged publication series consisting of reference works such as the Manual on Danube Navigation, the Manual on Danube Ports and the Blue Pages.

In order to keep its written publications up to date, via donau established its web platform www.danubeports.info in 2008. Since 2009, the Blue Pages have also been available on the Internet.

In addition to its reference works, via donau also operates web portals for the projects “Danube on Tour” and “Teaching Danube Navigation” as well as for its eLearning activities. These online portals provide specific target groups with information on the Danube transport and eco-system.
