via donau plays a particularly important role in the implementation of the Action programme for the promotion of the European inland navigation NAIADES, which was published in 2006 by the Commission. The implementation platform led by via donau, PLATINA, supports the European Commission, the member states, the river commissions as well as the inland navigation industry in the realisation of measures set out in NAIADES.
