The 4th International Conference and Exhibition Danube Summit 2008 took place in Constantza (Romania) in the new Cruise Terminal of the Port on 4-6 June 2008. Located within the main port area, the venue, which gathered almost 300 delegates from 17 countries, was selected in recognition of the positive progress the Port has made as the primary hub port for the Black Sea region over the last 5 years.

This fourth edition of the Danube Summit also provided the participants with an opportunity to present their local infrastructure projects, as well as the newest technologies in navigation industry, construction of river port terminals and their operation. Key actors and high-ranking officials of the Danube riparian countries seized this occasion to seek solutions for the future development of a sustainable and ecologically sound transport on the Danube river.
