Environment: EU Project WANDA presents first progress

The WANDA project coordinates the concerted development and exemplary implementation of preventive measures to ensure an environmentally sound approach in handling of shipborne waste along the Danube River. The WANDA website was launched at the end of 2009 and the first flyers are now available in English, Serbian, Bulgarian and Romanian.

The WANDA website displays, among others, detailed information on the project goals and activities and the partner consortium. Furthermore, the flyer will also be available in Slovak, Hungarian and German shortly. The 3-year project will work for the next months on coordinated concepts for ship waste management in the Danube countries and their elaboration.
