The overall objective of the project is to elaborate the complete technical specifications and tender documentation (tender dossier) in order to allow the procurement of an appropriate RIS system and by these means to prepare the implementation of RIS on the Serbian stretch of the Danube.

The expected results of the project are:

• The detailed design and the technical specification of the RIS system shall be in conformity with the EU RIS Directive (2005/44/EC) and technical standards in particular from the European Union.
• The technical specifications shall comply with all regulations of the European Commission and the EAR (European Agency for Reconstruction) in terms of public procurement (Practical Guide for EC External Actions, PRAG).
• A detailed survey of the requirements with the beneficiary and stakeholders of the RIS system in Serbia.
• The technical specifications are supported by the calculation of the coverage range of the Automatic Identification Systems (AIS) and validation through on-field AIS range tests.
• Cost estimates and an implementation schedule An environmental impact assessment.

Responsible for the design and technical specifications of the Serbian RIS system and coordinator of all activities conducted within the project.
