FÖRDERUNGEN INTERNATIONAL

ERA-NET 2007-2013

Geltungsbereich: international

The objective of the ERA-NET scheme is to develop and strengthen the coordination of national and regional research programmes through two specific actions:

  • 'ERA-NET actions' - providing a framework for actors implementing public research programmes to coordinate their activities e.g. by developing joint activities or by mutually supporting joint calls for trans-national proposals
  •  'ERA-NET Plus actions'- providing, in a limited number of cases with high European added value, additional EU financial support to facilitate joint calls for proposals between national and/or regional programmes.

Under the ERA-NET scheme, national and regional authorities identify research programmes they wish to coordinate or open up mutually. The participants in these actions are therefore programme 'owners' (typically ministries or regional authorities defining research programmes) or programme 'managers' (such as research councils or other research funding agencies managing research programmes).

ESA (ARTES)

Geltungsbereich: international

There are two ways to work with ESA Telecom. Either by participating in one of the Invitations to Tender (ITT) or by submitting an unsolicited proposal to the ESA (European Space Agency)/Industry partnership programme, which is continuously open. Both are issued on different budget lines called ARTES elements. Each budget line is governed by different rules and funding levels.

EU-Programmes for Accession Candidates, Third and Other Countries

Geltungsbereich: international

The enlargement of the European Union in 2004 to include 10 new countries (EU 25) was not only made possible by the political and economic efforts put forth by the EU and the countries in question. The subsidy programmes aimed at assisting the candidate countries in preparing for accession also made a valuable contribution. Furthermore, the EU also grants funding to Third countries and other countries.

Four programmes have been established by the EC:

  • PHARE – Poland and Hungary Action for the Restructuring of the Economy
  • ISPA – Instrument for Structural Policies for Pre-Accession
  • CARDS – Community Assistance for Reconstruction, Development and Stabilisation
  • TACIS – Technical Assistance for the Commonwealth of Independent States

Find more information on each of these programmes within this database in alphabethical order.
